In these crazy busy times, it seems like there is always something that needs doing, taking care of the home and family, managing all your work responsibilities, balancing the budget, shopping, cooking- the list never ends. Despite all this activity, there always seems to be something we forget to do, and it’s an important thing, too: Staying physically fit and managing our health!
It’s not easy to make time for proper exercise, but it is a must! One of the things that can help a lot is to acquire a ลู่วิ่งสายพาน (belt treadmill) which you can use at home in whatever spare moments you can find! Instead of putting off taking a jog outside because the weather is too hot, or too cold, or too rainy, you can log some healthy kilometres on the treadmill in the comfort of your own home, even whilst watching TV or listening to music. It’s a fun way to stay in shape!
What we really need to do in our hectic lives is to make a point of clearing out a block of time every day to focus on ourselves and our health, both physical and mental. Here are some things you can do today to get started:
Take A Walk – We humans were made for this exercise, it’s the one we do best and comes as naturally as riding a bicycle! (I think I have that mixed up somehow…) In any case, it’s the best thing anybody can do to get your body moving and feeling better. Not only is it physically beneficial, it’s also good for clearing the mind, I do my best heavy thinking when I’m strolling down the street or ambling down a quiet lane. So, put on some comfortable shoes and go get some steps in, you will be glad you did.
Go For A Swim – This is possibly the only thing that might surpass walking as the best possible thing you can do for your body and mind. Despite needing a few lessons to get started, humans are naturally excellent swimmers compared to other non-aquatic mammals, we seem to have a knack for it. Low impact, aerobic- swimming has all the good health buzzwords going for it, so dive on in, the water is fantastic, and you will feel that way, too!
Bicycling – You loved it when you were a kid, and not just because they wouldn’t let you drive a car yet! There’s something truly exhilarating about silently gliding down a road with the wind caressing your face, the challenge of pedalling up that hill, then the payoff of coasting down the other side, it’s movement magic on two wheels. Add a bike rack to your car and take that bike out into the countryside, or to the coast, and go exploring!
